CONNECTING BUYERS AND SELLERS

INFOSA strives to assist companies in the industry to find buyers for their products, or to find suppliers for those who are in the market to buy.

In order to succeed in this, we maintain an updated computerised register of regional producers and international buyers of seafood products. We also organise buyer-seller meetings in the region, and participate in international exhibitions and fairs to promote seafood products from the SADC region.

KEEPING YOU UPDATED ON MARKETS AND PRICES

Getting the best prices for your products depends on you being updated as to what world prices are at any given moment, and where the opportunities are. INFOSA keeps you updated in several ways.

INFOSA Trade News: twice monthly we publish the INFOSA Trade News, which gives you short market news and recent prices for hundreds of seafood products in the region and worldwide.

Through our participation in the global Fish Info Network, we are able to draw on vast resources to obtain prices and market information for a wide variety of products.

MARKET STUDIES

In co-operation with the other regional services, and with FAO GLOBEFISH, we publish specific market studies on products of interest to our region.

TECHNICAL ADVICE

INFOSA offers technical advice to producers in the region, ranging from product development, efficiency improvements, to quality control systems. Our advice is available on request, and covers such issues as plant design and layout, quality assurance systems, HACCP, ISO, reduction of post harvest losses, better utilisation of raw material and product development, as well as introduction of new and more efficient technology.

TRAINING COURSES

As part of our technical advisory services, we organise training courses and technical seminars in member countries.

CONSULTING SERVICES
For companies with special needs, we are able to offer specialised consulting services in a great many fields through our participation in the worldwide network, and with the use of external consultants. We maintain a register of highly qualified consultants and experts in the field of fisheries, aquaculture, processing and distribution.
